The Border Spirits Society was founded in 2025 from one simple idea.

That spirits are better when they bring people together.

After more than 13 years working in the bar and spirits trade, I wanted to create something that went beyond a single drink or category. A place where people could come together, enjoy each other’s company, share stories, and, along the way, enjoy a drink or two.

I set the Border Spirits Society up to be about exploration, quality, and connection. Exploring spirits in all their forms while valuing the moments created around the table. Whether through guided tastings, learning something new, or simply spending time with good people, the experience matters just as much as what’s in the glass. While the drink itself is key part of the conversation, it’s never been the whole point.

As a proud Northerner, I wanted to bring something positive and welcoming to the table. Something rooted in community, open to everyone, and free from pretence.
